This picture is one of the triptych I wrote, which I created in 2018 while traveling on the Mediterranean sea. I think that in every person's life, there are days when nothing happens to them, when they just sit and look at the world and enjoy what is happening around them, and the World looks at them. At such moments, you usually want to put time on pause, which would extend these moments as long as possible and save them in your memories as best as possible...

Spectacular surreal landscapes, combined with excellent flight conditions, allow you to drift between mushroom rocks in unique rock formations, float over orchards and vineyards along impressive valleys and briefly descend into deep complex-relief gorges.

This picture was my thesis at the Surikov Institute and I spent about a year writing it. Many complex architectural details, ornaments, as well as other objects and people, required a long and painstaking work on the picture. After my trip to India, I really wanted to convey the beauty and philosophy of this country and I tried to do this in my graduate work. Snake charmers in new Delhi can often be seen sitting on the streets, near beautiful palaces and tombs, where many tourists walk and there is an opportunity to earn some money. Each of them has its own life story, its own philosophy and its own destiny. I was shocked by the beauty of the tomb of Iltutmish, it is a real work of art carved and immortalized in stone and for this reason, I decided to depict the snake charmers near this place.

This picture was commissioned by me and was conceived as a chilling story: about cold, loneliness and silence.
Later, the customer changed his mind and I decided to create a picture based on his ideas, but with a completely different meaning, plot and perception.
Thanks to the ideas of my client, I learned a lot about the Tundra, its inhabitants, the Northern lights and the inhabitants of this region.
While working on sketches and studying this region, I was so much fascinated by this land that I realized that the Tundra, despite all its severity, can be extremely beautiful and even romantic, with a beautiful starry sky and a huge moon, with a silence that has its own depth and philosophy, where time, as if stopping, puts you in another reality, as in a fairy tale, giving you the opportunity to look at this world from a different angle and feel real, alone with nature and this universe.

The most romantic place in Slovenia is of course the island of bled. After visiting this amazing place, with its centuries-old history and a touch of mysticism, I was so fascinated by its beauty that I was inspired to write this picture. Lost in the lush greenery of the amazing beauty of the lake with emerald water, a small island on which the Church is sheltered, a majestic castle on a rock and a huge range of mountains with snow-capped peaks could not leave me indifferent. That's why I wanted to write this piece of incredible romance with a wonderful atmosphere of magical calm.

The plot of this picture was born to me a long time ago, in one of my Trips to the Caribbean. I have never seen such a huge number of bright stars before. The sky was covered with them, and it seemed that every inch of the sky was covered with them. I lay on the deck and stared at the stars and constellations and the full moon, and I was simply entranced by the beauty and mystery of worlds and galaxies that we had not yet discovered. Using a special program on my iPad, I was able to find some planets in our solar system that are incredibly far away from us. At that moment, I decided that one day, I will definitely paint a picture with a starry sky and try to convey in it all the emotions and impressions that I experienced that evening.

My attention was drawn most of all to the very beautiful temples and the children of the monks who live there. The scene that I noticed while walking along the temple, so touched me with its cheerfulness and spontaneity, that I decided to capture it on my canvas.

In nature, polar bears and penguins live on opposite sides of the equator: bears — in the polar regions of the Northern hemisphere, penguins — in the waters of Antarctica, off the coast of New Zealand and South America. But they both like the cold. In my painting, I combined these two beautiful animals and although their meeting is impossible in natural nature, but on the artist's canvas you can do everything!

I was inspired to create this painting by my trip to Italy. The incredible beauty of this country, the Mediterranean coast, amazing culture and the atmosphere of romance in the air. This painting can enliven almost any interior and fill it with light, tenderness and comfort.

Artist, Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Art
Hello! My name is Evgenia Roslik, and I am fortunate to devote my life to what truly fills it with meaning—creating paintings that carry warmth, light, and a living soul. My studio is in Moscow, but for me inspiration knows no borders. I travel extensively, absorbing the beauty of nature, encountering different cultures, and then return home to transform what I have seen into images imbued with joy and harmony.
- My Path in ArtIn 2011 I graduated from the Academic School of Design, and in 2017 I received my degree from the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute, where I obtained a classical academic education and the qualification of artist. Those years gave me a solid foundation: I learned to see the world in volume, to feel colour, to respect tradition—and at the same time to seek my own artistic path.
Today I am a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Art. For me it is essential that my works do not simply decorate a space, but carry a special energy, warm the viewer, and create a sense of connection to something beautiful. - Selected ExhibitionsMy paintings have already been introduced to audiences at many important venues in Moscow. The first series was presented in March 2019 at the Central House of Artist on Krymsky Val, at the exhibition Tsvetopredstavleniye (Colour Representation). Since then, each new event has become a milestone:

Each exhibition is not just a date on the calendar, but a living dialogue with those who come to see my works. I am endlessly grateful to everyone who pauses before a painting, takes a moment, and allows themselves to feel. - My Style and SubjectsI do not try to follow any rules—my style is born from within, from my personal perception of the world. Perhaps that is why it is difficult to mistake it for anyone else’s. My canvases are always about emotion. I paint from the depth of my soul, from the heart. I am drawn to scenes full of life: people and animals, tender romantic moments, landscapes that breathe peace. I especially love a warm colour palette—it creates a sense of comfort and security, like soft light in a window.
I firmly believe that art should bring joy. Therefore my paintings always carry a positive energy. They do not shout, but they quietly and confidently speak of the beauty that surrounds us—if only we know how to notice it. - Travel as a Source of InspirationTravel is my passion and the main source of new ideas. After each trip—whether to a distant exotic country or a cosy corner of my homeland—I return to my studio full of impressions. A new painting is born: a diary of feelings captured on canvas. For me, nature is the best teacher and co-creator.
- Where My Works Are FoundIt means a great deal to me that my art resonates with people in different parts of the world. My works are held in private collections in the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Tajikistan, Croatia, Switzerland, and Japan. They also grace the interiors of hunting lodges in France, are kept in a private animalistic museum in Romania, and are part of the collection of a safari hotel in Namibia. Each such fact confirms for me that art indeed knows no borders and speaks a language every heart can understand.
